Just had to share this lovely shot of the socks and shoes I wore to work two days ago. Would have taken more photos, but the batteries in my camera died.
Fortunately, I had enough time to snap one photo of one mitten made for me.
That is the back. Then, after letting my batteries charge, the next morning, I snapped a shot of the palm-side of said mittens:
Aren't they lovely? Oh, I love them. And I haven't had a chance to wear them yet. The weather turned warm again! The wonderful Rae drew me in the Mittens Swap over at Swap-bot. They're super-soft, and can you believe that Fair Isle technique? I won't show you the inside, but she did. And besides the super mittens, she sent a chocolate bar, and a skein of yarn.
The chocolate bar, I'm sorry to say, is gone. I sent it with Ian. Told him how good dark chocolate is for him. Don't he know it already? I can't eat DC unless I have vanilla ice cream to go with. I really need something to cut the richness. But, the most awesome thing is the Debbie Bliss Donegal Tweed in such an appropriate orange color.
Can't wait to do something with this. Yummy. So, a million thanks to my new swapping friend Rae! Hurray for Rae.
