It's an AJC kind of day. The latest addition to their recipe restoration project is Tea Cakes. Sad to say, but I fear I have never had a tea cake. And, it's another of those southern staples. It's thicker than a pancake, but the batter is made much the same way, and dropped into a hot skillet. They're dressed with powdered sugar. Included with the article is a reconstructed recipe that includes Georgia strawberries. I've got more to say about strawberries; the Tennessee variety.
