Wishful thinking got me confused a bit ago when I erroneously imagined that Tupelo Honey Cafe was opening its second Tennessee location this fall in Johnson City. It won't be until next fall. Can I wait that long?
In the meantime, Tupelo Honey Cafe is having a Holiday Recipe Contest that their top-chef Brian Sonoskus and his "hungry team of taste-tasters" will judge in three categories: sides, desserts, and leftovers. It runs October 1 through November 16 and three winners will be announced December 3 and each gets a $200 gift card they can use in the Tupelo Honey Cafe Online Store (http://shop.tupelohoneycafe.com), or in one of the restaurants.
Plus, each week during the contest "a drawing will also be held where one lucky participant will win a copy of our cookbook: Tupelo Honey Cafe: Spirited Recipes from Asheville's New South Kitchen."
